NEW From Kershaw

When new products come into our inventory we like to tell you about them. And Kershaw didn't disappoint with some new additions to their great knife line. We'll tell you about a few of the new Kershaw blades here today and then you can check them out online for yourself.

First up:

Kershaw/Emerson: CQC-6K, 3.25" Blade

This model features a modified clip-point blade giving you versatile cutting ability. The blade comes in two finishes: satin on the upper and a stonewashed finished on the grind. The handle's front scale of textured G-10 offers a secure grip and the handle's stainless steel back has a solid frame lock.

The CQC-6K is a manual opening knife with either the thumb disk or the patented Emerson "wave shaped feature". This kind of opening feature enables the knife to be opened as it is removed from the pocket. By the time the knife has been fully withdrawn from your pocket, the blade is deployed and ready for use. How cool is that?

A small wave-shaped tab on the top of the blade is built to catch on the pocket seam, opening the knife as it comes out of the pocket. The instant-open feature makes it a favorite among law enforcement, military and rescue knife users.

This Emerson blade is a slim and sharp little stinger. Joining forces, Emerson and Kershaw engineered a great knife with uncompromising functional design. It has versatile cutting capability and striking looks. The black-oxide coating protects the blade and makes it non-reflective, too. A textured G-10 front scale in black offers a secure grip and the handle back is stainless with a black oxide coating.  This knife also features the wave shaped feature, enabling the knife to be opened as it's removed from the pocket.

Kershaw Thistle, 3.25" Blade

The Thistle offers an extra wide blade and an ergonomic handle that's curved to fit the contours of your hand perfectly with a push-button lock release. The Thistle provides excellent slicing capabilities as well as handling a wide variety of cutting tasks, making it a perfect work or every-day carrying knife. It offers good edge-holding capabilities and strength. The easy push-button release gives you a secure liner lock so you can fold the blade closed while keeping fingers out of the way of the closing blade.

The Thistle is a manual opening knife and may be opened with the handle thumbstud. It also has a convenient reversible (left/right) pocketclip.

A Sabatier knife might be better than a KERSHEW knife. The blade edge has been sharpened to a 15 to 20 degree angle on this knife while Sabatier knives have a much sharper blade edge. The durability of the blade is extremely tough because of the full tang. Read about it onsmokekitchen
